"History cannot give us a program for the future, but it can give us a fuller understanding of ourselves, and of our common humanity, so that we can better face the future." Robert Penn Warren

The 2008 David Thompson Brigade - The Brigade Logo
I designed the official logo of the 2008 David Thompson Brigade utilizing a number of different graphics from three sources.
Permission was sought and
granted from Saskatchewan Parks to utilize the artwork for the Canoe and Voyageurs in the middle of the logo.
Permission was granted from the David
Thompson Bicentennial Partnership(not affiliated with the Brigade) to incorporate the artwork for the symbol of the beaver on the right hand side
of the logo and the Big Dipper above the voyageurs.
Finally, Arcturus Consulting granted permission to utilize the artwork for the sextant on the left
hand side of the logo. I would then take the text, the halo effect within the logo, and the other pieces and arange them, by design, into a cohesive logo.
The sextant and overall arrangement of the logo is protected by copyright. Those wishing to use use the Voyageurs and Canoe or the Beaver and Big Dipper must seek the permission of the respectful owners.
