The Explorations and Travels of Peter Fidler 1789-1822

Peter Fidler is undoubtly one of Canada's great surveyors. A student of Philip Turnor, Fidler eventually became the chief surveyor for the Hudson's Bay Company. Second only to Thompson in distance traveled and area covered, Fidler explored most of western Canada between 1789 and his death in 1822.
